Hvem er jeg? Og hvordan startede min træning og livsstil?

Who am I? And how did my training and lifestyle start?

First of all welcome to my first blog post! I actually don't know how to get started with something like this... So now I'm just jumping into it.

My name is Emilie Pettersson, 21 years old, born and raised in Copenhagen. Right now I spend my time on what interests me the most, namely traveling and training. -And yes, of course I also spend time with my wonderful friends and beloved dog, Ludvig.

How my workout and healthier lifestyle started

I have always been a very energetic girl, full of gunpowder! So when I stopped playing soccer back in 2018, I joined a gym. It went as it does now, for most people with a new fitness subscription. I had an active membership that I never really got to use. It was probably a mixture of the fact that I didn't know what to do when I finally got there, but also because I thought it was much more fun to spend the time partying and coloring with my girlfriends. So a real teenager!

I could gradually feel and look at myself that I did not have the healthiest lifestyle. However, I had difficulty finding the right inspiration, help and motivation to change my habits...

BUT! During the first Corona lockdown, in the spring of 2020, things finally really picked up! Suddenly the time was there to put all the energy into myself and my health. There was time for long runs, exploring delicious food recipes and not least making some good training plans. I could see a big change in my body in a very short time! Not only that it was sharper, but even my skin, my hair and my nails bore the mark of my healthier lifestyle. And not only that, my mental health was also much better. We talk with a constant smile on our faces! Next, my body didn't need as much sleep as before. Since then, to this day, I have been waking up at 6-7 every morning and I love it.

When the gyms finally reopened, I became interested in all the machines. It was a big leap, since it was a whole new world, set against the mat I had been throwing around at home during lockdown. Fortunately, I quickly found out how they worked and have been using them extensively since then.

The most motivating thing for me was how quickly you actually achieve results. Much less is needed than what you just go around thinking, if you are just consistent in your training and eat healthy and varied!

Once I had gained a good understanding of the training, I began to take an even greater interest in the diet. Not just calories, proteins, carbohydrates and fat, but on a much deeper level. What a healthy and varied diet actually is. What works for me, my training and my everyday life? What is the meaning of superfood? What do vitamins and antioxidants actually do? What is basically the most important thing to stay as healthy and fit as possible?

Now I am here today. I hardly think I could feel better, either physically or mentally. Of course, I'm getting smarter, day by day, but for now, I've still come a long way! And I will be happy to share that via this website.
